Concrete Driveway & Garage Door Cleaning in Alpharetta, GA
Alpharetta, GA

What we found and what we did
In June 2026 we pressure-washed a concrete driveway in Alpharetta, GA that had built up dark surface staining over time, along with a garage door that had taken on a yellow-green tint from algae and pollen.
The driveway staining was the kind that creeps in gradually: accumulated grime, organic growth, and weathering that flattens the concrete's natural color down to a uniform grey-brown. We ran a flat surface cleaner across the slab in overlapping passes, which pulls the contamination evenly without leaving the wand stripes you get from a single-jet tip. Once the slab dried, the difference was visible right at the property line: the freshly cleaned driveway sat noticeably lighter than the adjacent sidewalk section that crosses it, which is usually the clearest way to show a homeowner how much color the concrete actually holds underneath years of buildup.
The garage door was a separate pass. Algae and airborne pollen settle into the panel grooves and on the flat faces, and in Alpharetta's humid summers they bond to painted surfaces quickly. Left too long, the tint works into the paint rather than sitting on top of it. We flushed the door top-to-bottom at low pressure so the chemistry could lift the growth without pushing water behind the panels or into the weatherstripping at the base.
The hero image from this job captures both surfaces post-clean: the slab is back to its natural concrete tone, and the garage door is clear of the yellow-green film that had built up on the paintwork. That color contrast at the sidewalk joint is one of those details that reads clearly even in a photo taken from the street.
