Driveway and Patio Pressure Washing in Marietta, GA
Marietta, GA

What we found and what we did
Pollen, algae, and mildew had taken over nearly every hard surface on this Marietta property by early summer, typical for the Atlanta area once spring turns into June heat.
We spent about two hours on site cleaning the concrete driveway, stone paver patios, a wood deck, a concrete sidewalk, and patio area, and a fence.
The driveway had a layer of pollen over algae, with mildew taking hold in the shadier spots near the foundation. A surface cleaner across the slab, followed by a detail rinse along the edges and control joints, left a clean, even finish without streaking.
The paver patios needed a softer touch. Flagstone and irregular-cut pavers sit with open joints that can shift under too much pressure, so we kept it low and let a soft-wash mix dwell on the algae before rinsing it clear. The patio furniture got the same low-pressure soft wash to clear mildew without damaging the finish. The concrete sidewalk and patio followed the same process as the driveway: surface cleaner, then a clean-water rinse to flush the joints. The wood deck was cleaned at low pressure since cedar and similar softwoods fray fast under a tight tip. A gentler pass lifted the mildew without raising the grain.
The fence got a low-pressure rinse to clear mildew from the boards and bring back the wood's natural color. Marietta is within Alpha Pressure Washing's service area, and stone and paver surfaces here tend to re-grow algae on shaded sides within two to three seasons. Keeping the joints clear slows that down, which is why many homeowners go with one of our seasonal maintenance plans instead of waiting for the buildup to return.
